Arizona Tourism and the Ghosts of Tombstone

5:09 pm USA

When you are making your Arizona tourism plans you may want to take into account the ghosts of Tombstone. You can visit the Bird Cage Theatre where it is said many visitors has seen a stage hand in stripped trousers, a little visor hat and carrying a clip board walking across the stage. That doesn’t sound too unusual until you realize that he isn’t “really” there. It is just his ghost, walking back and forth as if he is checking everything out for the show.

Maybe you will see Marshal Fred White, the town’s marshal that was shot and killed by Curly Bill Crocius. Story has it that is wasn’t a planned shooting, it just kind of happened and the Marshal died. Now he wanders the streets of the town he once protected. The lady in the long while dress is also seen on occasion. She is said to either be the mother of a child that died of yellow fever and then couldn’t go on and so she killed herself or it is a former madam that was hung and is now constantly searching for her executioners.

Come to Tombstone; see if you find ghosts on your visit. It may make your Arizona tourism adventure one you won’t forget. In fact, you may want to come back time and again to see if you can find out about all the ghosts that are supposedly in the community.
